I feel your pain.

Vince (or is it Vinnie) does a terrific job describing every project ever undertaken by a do-it-yourselfer. I understand this so very well as recently I was putting a plastic cap around a basement window when the pane of glass in the selfsame window (which already had a nice crack in it) finally gave up the ghost and broke. This now became a matter of replacing the pane. Easy enough until it became obvious the frame itself would wind up being a problem. Nothing is ever as easy as it seems with any of these jobs but then again the level of satisfaction one feels when you finally finish one of these projects is immeasurable.
